I've not been making many cards or crafting much at all recently. Blame it on the nice weather, being busy with work and oh yes, playing at, what for me is a complete addiction, God of War II, on the Playstation. A complete waste of time I know but such, such great fun. You'll just have to take my word for it.
Anyhoo, the wonderful peeps at Play Date Cafe have thrown up this week's colour challenge, turquoise, red, brown and orange. A split complementary scheme plus a neutral. Designer heaven!
On saying that, I found it a soupcon of an uphill struggle this morning. I guess I'm feeling just a little rusty. Mojo is only turned up to gas mark three instead of eight. I think I need to play with paper some more this weekend, get those creative juices running at full again. Maybe a couple of rainy days might help (we in the north west apparently really need a downpour and soon).
Hmm, feeling rusty and wanting rain! Anyone else think I'm mis-matching my mix of metaphors? lol (well at least I'm okay on alliteration).
I don't think your Mojo has left you at all, Paul! Terrific card! Congrats on getting Cream in our Coffee last week too! It has been really hot and humid with occasional thunderstorms in the Midwest.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, this is fast and beautiful, Paul!
ReplyDeleteLovely Paul, wonderful mix of papers! Congrats on being one of lasts weeks "cream in our coffee"! Thanks for playing at the PDCC.
ReplyDeleteYou're quick of the mark this week! Fab card! I can identify with the computer game addiction - I'm totally hooked on an Iphone app called 'Angry Birds'! I keep telling myself "just one more level, then I'll go to bed....." x
ReplyDeleteYour card looks great Paul, love your mix of papers

ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous, Paul! I think your mojo is higher than you give yourself credit for.. Love how you stamped the sentiment on turquoise.. it really POPS! Thanks for joining the Play Date Cafe!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, you've done that so well! I was dreading trying to use those colours together but they actually look fab. Love it, Paul. Mine will have to wait until next week now cos I'm away tomorrow for a few days. OOOh, congratulations, too! Didn't realise you'd managed 'Cream in the Coffee' - well done, you!
ReplyDeleteYa know...we really need to design a 'cream in our coffee' badge because you sir have earned many : )
ReplyDeleteGreat offering this week and I am with Julia...I think you are definitely still workin' it and I LOVE the metaphors : ) x
Love all those fantastic colours in the delicate shapes of this card. Beautifully put together. Mojo functioning fine, methinks! but if this is a three, gosh, can't wait for the eight!
