Yes, it's a friend's Birthday today and I made this card especially for her. Normally, I make cards for challenges or to keep as stock or purely for my own amusement. Strange that it is worthy of note when I make a card for an ACTUAL Birthday!
I kept it nice & clean in the design, using one of my current favourite stamp images of a flourish from Inkadinkado. This has been embossed with sparkly powder (I know, what is it with me & sparkle at the moment?). The butterfly is a dark burgundy coloured velveteen and the sentiment is by Papertrey Inks. The shiny jewels are from Paperchase. So lots of texture and bling.
Love that design, Paul. It's stunningly effective and simple but the texture just lifts it.

ReplyDeleteWonderful birthday card, I'm sure she will LOVE it!! I have SO many birthdays to celebrate that I have the opposite problem - I rarely make one just for a challenge - usually it's more like a challenge for me to get them ready in time to mail! LOL
ReplyDeleteNice work Paul!
Love that flourish stamp. Great design.
