The Occasional Embellishment

Now and then I do actually purchase the occasional embellishment. That includes flowers. Yes, I love to make my own creations but that doesn't mean I'm not tempted to add shop bought ones to. So given the diverse mood I was in, I went ahead and pieced together a tag, decorated with a selection of my aforementioned stash.

There's a Prima flower (naturally) and a selection of roses sold by Wild Orchid crafts. The frame is made using Spellbinders Label 3. And the image was a freebie downloaded from Antique Images. To all this I included, seam binding, pearls, buttons, beading and a lattice ribbon which probably has a fancy name but of which I'm not aware, which I dabbed with white acrylic paint. Oh yes & a couple of felt leaves, cut from a decorative trim found in a haberdashery store.

It hardly seems necessary to mention the decoratively, painted background of the tag, since I have all but covered it. So another time, maybe.

Hope everyone's gearing up for a relaxing and creative weekend. Me, I'm hoping to find the time to open up my sketchbook and fill another page with drawings and scribbles.
