I am soooo lucky in lots of ways and I'm incredibly grateful to all the wonderful friends I have in my life. I have had so many "pinch me" moments, especially with my creative and crafty friends and last week I had another one.
If you're a regular reader, you already know that these days, the wonders of the web has shrunk the world and that it is possible to make friends with like-minded souls, all around the globe. And one such friend of recent is Jodie Lee (aka Gypsy Chick). We bonded over a mutual love for vintage design and the brilliant news that she had been asked by a company we both adore, Prima, to design some of their latest collections.
One of these is one of Prima's newest releases, Nature Garden and when I opened the door to my postie on Thursday, he thrust a box into my arms and left me to tear my way into it. The contents nearly made me fit to burst with excitement. I was so gobsmacked by the gorgeous (not to mention, extremely generous) bounty within...
...an A4 pack of patterned paper, letter stickers, chipboard shapes, buttons, flowers, rubber stamps, ribbon, jewelled swirls, printed silk, journal cards and oh yes, even more flowers. Jodie, needless to say, had really made my day. I mean, who wouldn't wish to have such a wonderful stash laid out before them? I was bouncing off the walls.
And the reason for this staggering crafty treasure. Jodie has asked me to be on her unofficial design team lol. Yup, we've agreed to have a laid-back, stress-free arrangement. The Papercrafting Mafia won't be knocking on my door demanding the latest instalment of cards and scrapbooks, or threatening me with the promise of waking up to something nasty on my pillow lol.
However, I am so touched to be asked and the goodies are just too irresistible, that you couldn't stop me from ripping open the packaging and begin crafting straight away. And this weekend, that is exactly what I did. The first project is nearly done. I just want to tweak it a smidgeon and then it'll be ready to post later in the week.
I hope you all enjoyed an exciting, creative weekend. And if not, I'm sure that the coming one will be lol
