Still Going Strong

Hot pink and black is still going strong in the design world. And to show it's still very much with us, it is part of the combo in this week's Colour Q. Though I wouldn't want to decorate any part of my home with it, I do love how these colours go together and would happily use them together if I was ever asked to design someone else's boudoir (never going to happen haha).

It has a striking, bold and contemporary feel which I have tapped into for making this clean and simple, graphic-styled card. Not one single strip of patterned paper has been used which is most unusual for me. I will have to endeavour to use twice as much in my next crafty project to compensate.

I know exactly who I'll send this card to when it's her birthday. Nick has a work colleague who is straight out of legally blonde. Long blonde hair, smoking hot high heels and her desk is accessorised in all things pink. She revels in her cartoonish style and is great fun to be with because of it.

Gorgeous colour combo - very striking! The 'skewed' style works really well and the pink pearl embellies are fab! x

Wow, Paul... see, I'd never think to skew the mat like this but gosh, how it makes all the difference! :) Really draws my eye to its center. I'll need to remember this technique...especially with a stunning color combination as hot pink and black. :) Great job!
