She supplied a sketch at 8.00 pm on her blog and also treated us to a live video on Ustream of her good self, making a LO. Those who play along have 2 hours to email their creations. Prizes are involved too. She's hoping to set a challenge every Wednesday evening and I highly recommend it.
Anyways, the sketch went up and I immediately opened up my InDesign Software and set to work deciding how to convert a 12x12 design into an A4 format. Then I typed out the journaling and title. Next, I chose the colour scheme and once that was done, I set about finding papers to match my ideas. All this took a record breaking 30 mins.
By the time it was all printed out, it took another 15 mins to piece it all together as well as punching out the flower shapes (yes, I know! Flowers! but in my defence I think they are appropriate to the design). I hurriedly made a scan and sent it off. This left me with enough time to watch Kirsty make hers.
And as you can see from the theme of the LO, I spent the day with Kirsty on Tuesday. I had booked a one-to-one session with her all about using a Digital Camera without the automatic settings. I thought I'd be the one to ruin her perfect record and come away being as rubbish as when we started. Not so. In fact, she now has me completely converted to using the manual setting on my camera. There's a lot to take in but Kirsty makes it all so very easy to understand. If you're lucky enough to live within travelling distance, I highly recommend booking a session.
Oh yes, and she took the new photo that adorns my blog and Facebook profile etc.
