I did it, I left everyone watching TV downstairs & snuck into my craft room to play. And I managed to knock out a card for entering into this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge. A Split Complimentary scheme (which on a colour wheel is taking the red, seeing it's opposite, green & choosing the colours either side of it, blue & yellow-green). It's a favourite scheme amongst a lot of designers.
Anyhoo, I looked through my stash to find the right colours and happened upon some felt which was crying out to be used. And who am I to ignore material which is calling to me. So out came my Spellbinders flower die, and one brad later, I had my focal piece.
Plus I said, I would use my winnings and I have. The stamped vertical lines on the left hand side.
All the card is from DCWV. I'm determined to go through the mini packs of papers I have lying around here.

Beautiful colors! Love the felt! I'll have to try using felt some time. Also, fantastic scalloped borders and vertical lines...great card!!!
Lovely flower medallion, great use of the felt! Thanks for playing at the PDCC.
Lovely card Paul, but then I am a big fan of your style. Somehow you always manage to make something I love. Thanks for the colour lesson too.
