Sleep Deprived

Just a quickie for this week's Play Date Cafe. I started the weekend by going out with friends and stayed up much, much longer than someone my age should. Remember when you were younger and stayed up all night chatting into the wee small hours, then climbed into bed for an hour's sleep and then kept going the next day? Well when you're in your forties, the recovery from it is much worse. I have felt something akin to jet lag (though I'm only surmising, having never felt true jet lag at all) ever since.

So this week's card is the best I can do whilst I'm yawning away and trying to keep my head from lying on this cosy desk. The wrinkles around my eyes are testament to how pathetic I am. This face is going to look sooooo old for the rest of the week. There isn't a moisturiser out there strong enough!

However, it's been a good opportunity to catch up on the backlog of TV I taped over the Xmas break. And that's where I'm off to now. Sweet dreams all. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.

That's a pretty card, Paul, and like the delicate 3-D additions... Is that story your excuse for standing us all up at the crop? We missed you!

even if you were half asleep Paul, it is a very elegant card. xxxx

If this is the result, maybe you should try sleep deprivation more often :)

Well, sleep deprived or not, this card is fabby! Great border punch and use of the Nestie tag for the sentiment. Sweet dreams, everything will be better in the mornin'...(including the sleepy wrinkles :)

Jet lag can last a couple of weeks (if you are lucky) so I am sure you will recover quicker than that but I do know what you mean. I think my bedtime is 9 pm these days, only kidding, it is 10 pm. But then I am an old lady.
Paul, you couldn't look wrinkled if you tried and your art work is superb. Love the card - your design know how shines through yet again. Love you.

If that's how good you are when half asleep, maybe you should craft in bed!! Lovely card.
How about a trip to the Pool of Life and I'll take you on the Wheel?!
I'm off to the TUT exhibition at the Trafford today..

I know what you mean about how hard it is to be creative when you're sleepy. You wouldn't be able to tell by seeing your card though, it is fantastic! Hope you were able to rest up and thanks for squeezing in an entry for the PDCC.

Oh, Paul, you had me laughing! I know, there isn't a moisturizer that can erase a late, late night's effects. Oh, boy, do i know what you mean.

Well, your card is no indication of sleep deprivation, I must say. It has clean lines, and uses our color palette beautifully.

Thanks for playing at the Cafe with us. Now go get some rest.

Fab card Paul! I was reading your post and thinking I really need my bed. I've been burning the candle at both ends, and both sides too lately lol. I love how you've done the button detail, and those tag cutters look so effective used as a focal point, must try that! Thanks for playing along with us this week at the Play Date Cafe!
