Dusty, Powdery & Vintage

This week's Play Date Cafe Challenge has three wonderful vintage hues to play with. They are muted, dusty, powdery shades of red, red-violet & yellow-orange. They are toned down to almost becoming neutrals and therefore happily work in any combination.

It's been a busy old week, with bits of crafting thrown into the mix but until now, nothing to show and blog about. I did a demo at Craft Range on Wednesday evening, showing how to easily make paper flowers and decorate accordion books with them. And Saturday, I spent a few hours at a craft show in Harrogate. It's the busiest I've ever known it and getting around was a battle. However, I still managed to pick up a few crafty treats for myself. And a big thank you to Alison for the lift from the station. An unexpected and delightful surprise.

Today I'm off on a New52 experience in Manchester. I'm not going to say what it is just yet. You'll have to wait until the end of the month when I upload March's layout. Plus, now that the sun's gone in, we'll be strolling around the muddy countryside for a few hours.

Gorgeous card - I love the colours! Didn't spot you on Saturday - did you leave before the lunchtime meet up? x

I didn't see you or Karen, Michele. Nor Anne, nor Elaine. Yes I left before the meet up. It was sooo busy. I'd bought the stash I came for, sat outside with a cake and then decided to totter back home. I wasn't into fighting to look at anything in the stalls. I would have liked to have browsed Mei Flowers but it was impossible. Besides, I'm off to the NEC on Thursday to meet a friend, so will have an opportunity then. Hope you had a good time and bought plenty of lovely stuff. Px
