Sunny Days & Dodgy Backs

Just as the sun comes out in the UK, I go and put my back out by sleeping on a rubbish mattress and find myself housebound. Now, after a week of hobbling around like an old man, I'm mobile again. Well, it'd be nice to go cycling in this uplifting weather but that's not possible. However, we did go out in the countryside yesterday and today we're planning for another trip out where it's nothing but green hills and wild spring flowers. Oh yes and let's not forget the abundance of cute lambs adorning the fields.

Not being able to sit still for too long without my back seizing up, has meant that I haven't sat in my craft room in the evenings. So last night, when I felt wide awake, I made a card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge.

The papers are a mix of Basic Grey, K&Co & LLB. The die cuts are Spellbinders and the punches for the butterfly & flowers are Martha Stewart. The bow was great fun to shape and make. My wonderfully creative friend Olive sent me a generous batch of Simanay offcuts to play with (quite appropriate as it was Ladies Day at Aintree Racecourse yesterday, where plenty of the hats and fascinators worn, would have been produced from this quirky material). It bends, folds, punches out and cuts really well. It's brilliant stuff and I want to play around with it lots more and experiment when I next have the time.

Right, I'd better stop gabbling as I need to get ready. Should I don shorts today? Is the world ready to see my lily-white, short, fat, hairy legs? Probably not lol. Anyhoo, whatever you are doing this weekend, have fun.
