Pearls & Filigree

After a couple of weeks spent on upcycling projects, I'm back to playing about with cards. To ease myself back into the swing of it, I opted for my two "go to" challenges of the moment, Mojo Monday & Shabby Tea Room.

I managed to fit in just about every shabby technique under the sun except for including lace. There's hand stitching, torn edges, embossing, pearls and a filigree corner (which I fell in love with when I saw one on Funkie Junkie's blog, so I quickly snaffled up a couple of packs from her Etsy store. They arrived within a week of ordering, not bad from across the pond).

The quote is one I saw on Pinterest & is from Dr Seuss. It seems an appropriate "Artsiders" sentiment :).

Supplies:

Patterned Paper: Laced Grace (Glitz), La Creme (DCWV))

Ink: Old Paper Distress Ink (Ranger/Tim Holtz)

Dies: Labels Four, Circles, Fleur de Lis Motifs

Other: Filigree Corner (Funkie Junkie), Pearls, Brads, Organza Ribbon, Embossing plate (Cottage floral - Craft Concepts).
