Fringe Flowers and Misty Backgrounds

Here I am, back with another flower and tag. There's even been a spot more stamping. Suddenly there's this impulsive urge to start inking up my collection of rubber stamps.

The flower began life as two punched out, 50mm dia. circles. I chomped around the edges with deckle-edged scissors, trimming more from one of them to create a smaller shape. I inked around the edges and carefully cut the thin petals with scissors. Using the back of a paintbrush, I gave the flower some shape and then with a dollop of glue in the centre, I added seed beads.

The frame is a stamped image onto card, cut out with scissors. I frayed the inside edges before sprinkling on a layer of clear embossing powder. To finish, I daubed on some white acrylic paint to soften the colour.

The background, I painted in grey acrylic before spritzing with a white mister and allowing to dry. A variety of trims were adhered to the bottom and I stamped the bird cage onto pale card before arranging it behind the frame. To finish, I tied a thin length of netting through the top of the tag.

Two tags down, one to go.

Have a wonderful, creative day
Paul x

Yum, yum, the early bird catches the worm and this one's beautiful. Love the hint of pink and the image (which I think I have in my stash).

Love this one as much as the last one. What a great flower and so simple but this is a Paul Flower so you take ownership of it.
I am not at all a pink person but I think your work is turning me into one.
Hugs, Neet xx

Simply delightful! The muted colors are the perfect backdrop for that lovely, delicate flower! The sponged edges give it just that dab of color to draw the eye. Love the stamped chandelier image, too..it looks so chic! I'm really enjoying seeing all these amazing tags you're making!
