A Card to Play Along With a New Challenge

Whilst coming to grips with the ins and outs of Feedly and catching up on blogs, I came across a challenge site which I'd not ventured upon before. It's called Freshly Made Sketches & with such a self-explanatory title, it's a bit redundant for me to add that it's a sketch challenge.

Here's this week's sketch

And the card I've made

Can you tell that my creative mood is leaning towards the clean again? I know I go in cycles, but I'm feeling like I've come to terms with both my arty and design paths these days. I'm arty in my sketchbook/notebook, where I can be scribbly and experiment which at the moment, satisfies that craving. Which therefore leaves me to enjoy the design aspect within my crafting.

The weather is still warm and muggy and as I have my Sister-in-Law up for the weekend, I'm hoping to make the most of it, even though we haven't made any plans yet. The Great Gatsby is on at the local cinema which I'd like to watch but I don't see myself being shut inside on such a nice day. Might have to wait until it's on DVD. Anyway, hope you've all got exciting plans for the weekend too :)

Hmm. I may need to get that embossing folder. It had added such great depth/ texture to your card. I'm living the clean and simples look. Something I struge with. Think I can do simple. But clean seems to elude me lol

Love that hexagon folder. It adds so much fun detail to such a beautiful (and clean) card. I hope you'll come play along with us again at Freshly Made Sketches!

Yes, I like the clean lines of this. Quite masculine but yet fine for a female.
