As you can see, it was an oasis of calm.
Birthday boy himself, who never looks at ease when a camera is pointing at him. But then again, I'm just as bad.
And the rather pungent present I bought for him. Four wrapped and perfectly ripe cheeses from The Fine Cheese Company. If you know a cheese lover that you need to buy a gift for, I can highly recommend this company. Delivered straight to the door in the UK. They certainly got a thumbs up here.
Not the card I gave Nick (which was a store bought one) but it is a Birthday card, it has a summery feel and I think happily doesn't look out of place in this post. I made it this weekend after buying yet another new die. I couldn't help myself, the finger twitched and before I knew it, I had hit 'Proceed to Checkout'. It's a Paper Smooches Die, Borders 1. I just love the curved line.
It has been a seriously chilled and relaxing weekend :)
