Settling In With Another Page

I've had a brilliant weekend, filled with renewed vigour and creativity. I've had a much needed boost and now I'm itching to grab my pens and pencils and start playing.

Also, having dipped my toe into the world of Teesha's style of art journaling, I've only gone and been at it again. The resulting page is not too different from the previous one but I did try a few different approaches.

This time I went for a double page spread but think I might stick with the single format in future, whilst I'm trying ideas out. It takes a lot longer to fill in two of these bad boys. I also tried to fit some of my crafting stash into there too. So the border is generated with a Martha Stewart border punch and Jodie Lee's Nature Garden paper. I also bought some acrylic inks and wanted to try them out. It's the first time I've used them and I'm buzzing with ideas. Can't wait to experiment some more.

I am loving my art room again. I feel like a kid at play.

Till next time

This is very cool. I love the freedom of expression you are having with these pages, I feel I need to knock a lot of barriers down to create something like that.

Ah, excellent - your lettering is absolutely brilliant, too. I used to spend hours doodling with lettering when younger but now I just don't seem to be able to get it right - I'm jealous, lol. You're so naturally artistic, Mr B, while some of us struggle... xxx
PS I remember your gorgeous altered books - not a lot of difference in journalling and ABs... x

Love that neat lettering, and glad to hear the mojo has boomerang-ed back. Acrylic inks are so vibrant in colour :). Looking forward to seeing what you do!
