Week 12 - Real World Colour

That's it, the very last LO for this course. I've now been sat with my album, putting it all together. It's fantastic to see the improvements over the last 12 weeks. Most notably after the week on white space. From then on, my designs look ten times better. There were also some dodgy colour combos which seem to have been ironed out as the latter weeks went by. I'm so pleased to actually find an improvement. Anyway, this week we were supposed to pick the product first but I chose the photos instead. So far, there's been no flowers in my LOs in this course and I've managed to try everything else I'm normally uppity about (& sometimes had a change of heart). So my choice of product was a flower chipboard piece. In it's defence, it is relevant because it lends the LO unity (see I have been putting it all into practice :) ) by tying it with the photos which are of flowers. I've even coloured it in a similar way. I still grouch when I see LO's that have a photograph of a birthday cake (for example) and have flowers as embellishments. Grouchier still if in a professional LO. I really want to do another class now. Anyone any ideas???

Stunning LO Paul! I know what you mean about needing another class - I don't think I will be able to scrap without my weekly inspiration from CZ! Have a great Christmas x

It's soooooo tempting to send you something inappropriately covered in 'nice' Prima flowers! Not sure I'll be able to resist the temptation for much longer! Thanks for your kind words about my card, if I was organised enough I'd love to do something like the Cathy Z class - maybe another year!

Just popped in to wish you both all the very best for Christmas, and hoping for a great year in 2009. xx

It is beautful, Paul ... I've always looked forward to your LOs, and really admired your dedication and the way you totally entered into the spirit of the class, trying out things you wouldn't normally do... I'm glad it's paid off and re-entused you about scrapbooking! xx alexa

Hey Paul, just saw your post on my blog, then I came to your blog, and made the connection that you were a DYL student (that's so cool!) and just wanted to say thanks for the post, and for taking the class.

Just saw that you are in the UK. Love that people over the pond are taking the class.

Anyhoo... cheers to you and Happy New Year!

I really like this LO Paul - balance, colour, line - everything about it. It is so clean and fresh and the crocus bulb is like "birth" (don't know if you get what I am trying to say here - but it is so appropriate for you finishing the course and for the end of the year)
Hugs
