Using My UTEE

I have pots and pots of UTEE and I don't play with the stuff as nearly as often as I perhaps should because it creates the most wondrous embellishments and jewellery.

A while back, I sat down, turned on my melt pot and made a large batch of UTEE shapes using some mini cookie cutters. I kept them basic, no arty stamping or adding beads, which meant I ended up with the effect of polished stone. However, once made, they have stayed in a pot, willing me to use them and last night, I decided to idle the time away in my craft room until I felt sleepy, by making cards which incorporated these colourful embellishments.

I didn't work to any plan or sketch, I decided to loosen up a little and push materials around my desk until something pleasing took shape. When it did, I grabbed my spray glue and slapped all the pieces into place before I had a chance to change my mind. And these two cards are the results of my random play. Now I have the itch to make more UTEE shapes for my stash collection especially as I have just recently bought some new cookie cutters to play with.

These are really lovely, Paul. I love the way you have matched the embossing folder to the UTEE shapes on the 'thinking of you' card x

Like the Cards Paul - pardon my ignorance but what is UTEE??? Used those little sticky glue squares you told me about for my art class today they were really good and stopped my students getting into the usual sticky mess.
