Playing around with techniques again, I wanted to try out embossing fabric. I have heaps of quilting squares as well as fabric scraps and I'd love to incorporate them more into the bits and pieces I make, hence why I thought I'd give this a go.
I took my cream fabric patch and used adhesive spray on the back of it (I use Crafter's Companion's Stick & Stay) and attached to a piece of card. I die cut it out using Spellbinders Scallop Square before running it through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder. You can't sense it in a photo but the texture is exquisite. You feel compelled to run your fingers over the surface.
I made the card by laying down pattern paper for the background and placing the fabric square on top. I then stamped the Inkadinkadoo flower onto cream paper, embossed it with powder and trimmed. I finished it off by adding a stamped sentiment and a pearl coloured embellishment from Prima.

Bril. Love the stamp. Love what yoy have done with the fabric. Very nice.
Paul-wow-love this idea.I'm a fabric junkie myself but haven't thought of this one as my fabric is very rarely incorporated into cards. RU going to the show in Manchester this weekend? If you are I might spot you-that's if you are wearing exactly the same cap you are wearing in your mug shot!Hugs BettyXXX
ooh, I really like that Paul - I can see what you mean about the texture!
What a wonderful technique Paul! I love the texture you achieved with the fabric. What a great idea. Adding fabric to cards gives such a new level of sensory experience. Love the warm colors too. Best, Curt
