Flowery Play

It's been a busy old week and really, I've had nothing new creatively to blog. In my spare crafting time, I've been decorating more coke bottles, soup pots and catfood boxes, to store my stash in (see previous post). So there's been no point showing more of the same.

Anyhow, I've also been trying out various paper flower tutorials which I've had stored in my Evernote program. Some of them work, others not so. However, this is a perfectly decent vintage effect flower made using the Tim Holtz, Tattered Flower die. You can find the tutorial here. (And Carmel, if you're reading this, this was the flower technique I was referring to when we spoke).

These are also going to be my entry for the Play Date Cafe Challenge. Instead of producing a finished project, I thought I'd just make a flower in each of the three colours; blue, yellow and brown. A beautiful, aged scheme selected from a lovely antiqued photograph.

I shall store them away safely, ready to be used in the future. So don't be surprised if they turn up again someday :)

For now though, have a good week everyone. Pxx

More flowers - did you do these when I had left? I am now on the hunt for the punch but in the meantime will follow your link and see if I can make some of these - they are gorgeous. Mind you, I do like the choice of colour and if it is anything like the paper you used yesterday it will be fab.
