Tree Craft

Over at Scrapbooking by Men, there's a quickie challenge based around using trees as the main inspiration. Well I do happen to have a couple of stamps which fit the bill so I dug one of them out for this card.

I inked and heat set the tree with a maroon glitter embossing powder before cutting it out with a nesties label die and hand sewing around the edge. I added the paper rose (surely everyone knows how to make these little devils these days - so no explanation required lol) and leaves which I cut out with scissors and ran through a crinkling tool. Then it was a quick, flamboyant dab of glitter on the rose and voila, all was done.

And very sweetly perfect it is too. And no, I've never made a rose... Your handstitching is so neat. My machine stitching is nowheer near as good as that!
