The UK has been enjoying some unusually warm weather and it seems to have done my mojo some good as last night I actually made time for crafting.
The design is loosely (& I mean loosely) based on this week's Mojo Monday challenge. It started off with all the correct elements but then I added all sorts of bits and bobs to the card, so that now you can hardly see the particulars of the sketch.
The papers are all from Prima's Romantique range, which I bought at Ally Pally. The terracotta coloured paper was a little too saturated for my liking, so I gave it a whitewash with the picket fence distress stain. I love the way it mutes and softens.
The edge was scraped over with a knife before dabbing with tea stain distress ink. The flower was made using a length of ruffled trim, glued into a coil. The leaves were cut from another decorative strip of trim I have in my stash. The swirls were die cut out of a scrap of paper which I had been playing around with using crackle solution. And of course, I had to add lace, pearls and some stitching in there.
Hoping for another warm, sunny day, so I'd better crack on in order that I can sneak out this afternoon and enjoy. Px

Oh, my goodness...bless your shabby heart! This card is amazing! Beautiful, soft colors arranged wonderfully and that lace, oh WOW! I am in love! The pearl accents are just perfect~ You knocked this one outta the park, my friend!
I have found that, in my experience, putting the right elements on a card can make it look good...but half the battle is KNOWING what looks good. You have found your talent. ;)
Oh and P.S. congrats on being in the top 3 at CASE Study...well done!
