Maybe it's because the crafting world is gearing up for the much anticipated 12 Tags of Christmas from Tim Holtz that it has seeped into my consciousness this week. Slowly, ever so subtly, I became aware that I was in the mood for and had an irresistible urge to indeed create a tag.
No challenge to enter, no purpose to fulfil, no agenda in the background, I just wanted to have a muck about. The great fun with tags, like ATCs, is that they are a great way to experiment with techniques and ideas.
I come across lots of wonderful, creative projects when I'm surfing through blogland and Pinterest and it's deeply satisfying to spend an evening trying them out. For instance I saw a card where a chipboard frame had been wrapped in seam binding. So on it's gone. And I saw someone demoing a ruffled ribbon technique. So out came the seam binding again. Paper feathers I've made before, but I thought I'd miniaturise them for this tag and finally, I've added a snow flower from my previous post. And of course, I wanted to try them all out in pale, shabby colours.
Having gotten this creative itch out of my system (for now), I can begin to sit back, have a snooze and await, with the rest of the creative world, for tomorrow's first tempting tag from Tim.
Have a fun day. Pxx

ooo his is lovely Paul. The soft colours with just a hint of a darker one to make it all pop is delicious. Great tag.
Wow Paul! You squeezed in so many little details here that your tag is a mini work of art - I keep seeing something new every time I look at it!
Fab tag, Paul! I love the soft, subtle colours x
It's a bee-oo-tee-ful tag Paul and bet TH doesn't have a cream shabby chic one similar or as nice. Lots of interesting, unusual, individual, elements there.
Love JoZarty x
Sweet beauty, Paul! I occasionally make tags and as I'm making them (or when it comes out like I pictured in my mind) I think to myself, why don't I make these more often?! Your's has come together magnificently, with all those little pieces of inspiration you've discovered...it's got a wonderful charm about it! Love your snow-flowers and the ruffled ribbon looks fabulous! I love looking to Pinterest for inspiration, too...the only downside is it's a terrible time-sucker! :)
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend, and I'm looking forward to you having some more "crafty itches"!
Wow, so unique Paul! I love the little feathers!!!
