CAS Sketches Goes Art Deco

I liked the look of the design over at this week's CAS(E) this sketch, sort of an art deco feel about it, so I felt inspired to give it a go.

Here's the sketch:

and the card I made using it:

I'd seen the effect of mounting white on white card with foam mount whilst I was blog hopping and thought this was a perfect time to experiment. I think it's a neat, effective idea and I'm surprised it's taken me so long to pick up on it.

Hopefully I'm off to a food fair up in the Peak District later on. But we have a Plan B as a back up in case it turns out to be overly crowded. That's the beauty of the area, you can always find something to do or go see.  Nick will be the chauffeur for the day as I'm currently carless. Turns out that the flickering oil warning light was, as feared, indicative of a serious problem.

However, I've seen a new runabout vehicle, I'm just waiting for paperwork to come through the post and I'll be mobile again. Not that it will be used that often. I really am that user who takes the car out once a week to do the shopping in.

Thanks for popping by :)

Materials Used:
- White Card

I really like the muted color palette and how you've designed this card! At first glance, I thought it resembled chess pieces...very cool and contemporary design!
Best of luck with your car!
