Just a CAS(e)d Note

Hello again my lovely.

I thought I'd join in with this week's delightfully elegant sketch challenge over at Cas(e) This Sketch. Love how clean and minimal it is. Plenty of room for interpretation and ideas. Anyway, here's the sketch...

And my take on it...

I grabbed a selection of purple and pink coloured card to begin and then dug out my Spellbinders Label no. 4. I taped two dies together and ran through the first colour. I then taped two of the next size down together, repeated and so on. I then cut the largest shape out again but this time whole. I mounted the shapes onto this background and trimmed it down.

I stamped a quick sentiment onto white card, attached the decorative piece and foam mounted onto the background card. Nice and simple.

P.S. Thanks to Donna (in my comments) who advised that I could also enter this card into this week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger Challenge. And I can see why. The theme is Honouring Ombre and the inspirational photo they supply is as follows...

Even the colours are spookily similar. I have to say, I normally wouldn't bother entering into more than one challenge at a time but when I saw the purples and pinks in this, I just had to. It's too coincidental to pass up lol.
