The Trouble With White

It's another challenge entry, slotted in between doing various classes etc. This one's for Colour Q number 17. And the colours are, to go all Americanese for a second...awesome! Or in the words of Swarly, they are legen.....wait for it......dary! Am I watching too much TV? Haha.

I love it when blue and red are in the mix. This time they were teamed with teal, black and white. No problem until it came to the white. It's one of those colours, like yellow, that you use to pull in the eye. Useful, when that is the effect you need but in this case it led the eye away from the focal point and all the other rich colours. That's the trouble with trying to incorporate white into this card. That's why it ended up being used as unobtrusively as I could by underling the sentiment with it.

All made from my scraps pile so I didn't cut up any 12x12s this time.

Plus I'm indebted to Anne. who has helped me out with correcting my three column blog design. The hiccup has been eliminated and everyone should now be able to leave comments. Ahh, we all need a dotty one in our lives :) Thanks Anne.

Great colours - like how you've incorporated the white. Love the way you've used the circular nestie inside the 'square' one - fab effect!

Good use of the colours - you are so clever when it comes to colour! Like the way you sneaked in the white - I would never have thought that one out.
