Play Date Cafe 75

Three delicious vintage colours this week at Play Date Cafe challenge blog. Muted shades of Blue & Pink combined with Silver grey.

Papers were all from my scrap files so I haven't a clue who they are by. The die shape is another newbie from Spellbinders. Part of their Fleur de Lis range. The sentiment is one I created on the computer & printed out. Then I added flowers, pearls and new for me, pearl head pins. There's a bit of hand sewing thrown in there too. It would be quicker to sew by machine but I was just too lazy to set the thing up. Madness I know. The five minutes it would take could save me about half an hour of stitching time.

I'm increasingly finding myself drawn to the vintage style. Not sure how successful I am at putting the look together yet but it's fun to try. I think I need to practise more, see what works and what doesn't. Again, it feels good to be stretching my creative muscles. You can tell Spring is here, I have the urge to play!

Just loving your recent nesties Paul. The sentiment is gorgeous and your handstitching.......wow! I would NEVER be able to do it that neatly.
The way you have put all the elements together is beautiful. X

I Love these colours together, and love the vintage feel of the card-I agree with you that the thought of setting up the sewing machine can be a bit tiresome, and I have done the same thing as you-hand stitched instead!! you are not alone!

Lots of gorgeousness there... fab card...colours, LO, and I adore that new die cut. I'm excited as I've just got a Vagabond so I'm noticing dies so much more. See you tomorrow!

A wonderfully elegant use of the colours, and your stitching is a heck of a lot neater than mine would have been.

Very pretty with all that delicate layering - hoping Spring fever keeps your creative juices flowing! You must have a HUGE pile of dies ...

Well, I do find hand stitching therapeutic, even if it's not time efficient. Sometimes our sanity is worth it, kwim? Gorgeous card, I am drawn to the vintage style as well and you've certainly captured it with that fabulous fleur-de-lis pendant! Super job Paul...great to see you in the Cafe!
