Sneaking Another One In

What can I say? I felt like doing something crafty in my spare time yesterday evening. I'd had enough of watching TV & I wasn't quite in the mood for settling down with my book. I had a creative itch and decided to have a scratch.

So I logged onto the Play Date Cafe Challenge for a beautifully wistful choice of soft pastel hues and set about cutting, pasting and inking.

The challenging part in making this card was in attempting to add a soft enough colour to the seam binding. The only yellow ink I had was the Mustard Seed Distress Pad, which was unfortunately too vibrant. I had to dab a little onto my craft sheet, add plenty of water and coat the ribbon. It was still too strong, so I rinsed it further in clean water until most of the ink had seeped out, leaving a muted tint which matched this week's challenge.

Right, off to pack a rucsac for the weekend and sit down to some breakfast (or brunch, if it gets any later). See y'all soon. Pxx

Oh, yay...this is absolutely brilliant! Your hard work paid off, that seam binding is the perfect shade and so soft and delicate on your card! Love the pins (my fave), the border punching (my fave), the pearls (my fave) and the gorgeous font of your stamp! So, your card is {my fave!} Delightful work, my dear, you are on the cutting edge of shabby!
BTW, love the photography, too! :)
